Some photos/videos not syncing after iOS5 upgraded

Some photos/videos not syncing after iOS5 upgraded
After upgraded my iPad 2 from 4.3.5 to iOS 5, I note that some new photos and videos are not syncing with the lastest iTunes. About 3000 out of my 12000 photos won't sync to either my iPad or iPhone 4s. 600 photos that were on my iPad are gone and I can't get them back. Doing factory reset, and clearing the photo cache on Mac, but not working. If I manually select some folders to sync, it works. Very frustrating.

Today I go to check off do not sync pictures in iTunes, and do a syncing to remove them from my iPad device. Then recheck the option again, and re-sync them. That seems to fix the issue with iOS 5.

New iPad Mini Release Date On October

New iPad Mini coming soon
Apple is preparing this year to lauch a smaller and more affordable tablet device called "iPad Mini". It will sit in-between the iPhone and the iPad for screen space, purportedly release in October and sell for around $200. The iPad Mini doesn't have the high definition Retina display, so it hits a low price to battle Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire.

According to rumors, iPad Mini might have only 8GB storage and would be the 1024 by 768 pixel displays, but lacks the front- and rear-facing cameras. Its price is completely made up to get attention. Developers will create their apps to apply for the smaller screen.

I think that it is not necessary to buy. A new product with an old display. You get screens with poor viewing angles and poor contrast.

New Smart Case too Big and sharp for iPad

New Smart Case too Big and sharp for iPad
Apple's new Smart Cases for iPad are availabled in a variety of colors, including polyurethane dark gray, light gray, blue, pink, green, and red. Looking like the original one, the new hard shell iPad Smart Case has the automatically sleeps/wakes function and can fold up into a stand. However, it does protect both the back and the front of your iPad device.

I just received my new smart case from the online Apple Store and there are some incompatibility issues. The case is just way too large for the iPad 2 and the edges are too sharp. When I hold my iPad within it, the lip just comes away on the right hand side. It doesn't really protect the tablet in the same way as a wraparound case. And the iPad 3 also has the exact same issue.

errors in iBooks on iOS 5

I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 5 and downloaded my first purchased book on ibooks app. I just get the chapter seven, and the rest of the page is blank. It displays the following message with a pink error box:

"This page contains the following errors: error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty error on line 1 at column 1: Encoding error
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error."

I think that the iBooks app itself is corrupt and the book was corrupted in the download process. There may be an issue with some eBooks on iOS 5. To resolve the problem, you need to do a fresh on the iPad. Tap and hold down on the iBooks icon and tap "X" in the corner to delete the app. Then reinstall it and then download the book again.

How to change display resolution on New iPad 3

How to change display resolution on New iPad 3
The new iPad 3 has 2048x1536 retina screen resolution. When I browse some favorite website on the talbet, the texts and images are seted to the higher resolution automatically. But the webpage is good at 600x800 or not shown up under HD display. That looks like uncomfortable for me. Some apps also have the same issues. Can you change the display resolution to lower resolution like 1024x768 or turn "resolution independence" technology off.

The resolution on the new iPad is keeping on 2048x1536 all the time. And there is no way to change the resolution. But you can try using zoom in/out feature to improve it.

How to save webpage as pdf on iPad Safari

How to save webpage as pdf on iPad Safari
On Mac or Windows computer, it is easy to convert Web-page to PDF file using "Print to PDF" feature. The iPad itself does not have this built-in function to copy the web-site into a PDF file for offline viewing. Taking a screen shot of the web page is an alternative, but you can do that with third-party app.

* You need to download and insatll a PDF app on your iPad, such as Good Reader or iAnnotate PDF.
* Open any website in Safari browser and add to bookmarks. Go to edit the bookmarks you just saved, and change the link to the following one line codes:

javascript:pdf_url=location.href;location.href='ghttp://api.joliprint.com/api/rest/url/print/s/joliprint.com?url='+escape(pdf_url)+'&disposition=attachment'

Another way is to create this bookmark from computer's Safari and sync it to your tablet.
* Now open a page you want to save and load the javascript bookmark. Then GoodReader or other reader will download and open the PDF document.

Enable Multiple User Accounts on shared iPad
In the Enterprise, several people would like to use sharing one iPad in the office to set up their own Exchange mail account or use own Apple iTunes store ID to download apps. Primarily the tablet is only supporting a single user account and can't create separate user accounts to log in, like Mac or Windows computer.

Lots of users keep asking for this capability. Apple's developer team have said a suggestion for getting multiple user profiles on iPad for other users in the house. Maybe the feature will be included in iOS 6.

With the "Our Pad (for iPad ONLY)" By Ghori Networks, you are able to let multiple users access a single iPad using separate password-protected account. Very good for IT manager. The app supports Gmail, Hotmail, Twitter, and Facebook, and automatically signs out while in sleep mode.

No passbook on iPad iOS 6 - iOS 6 has got PassBook app for making electronic tickets. You can scan the device to check in for getting retail coupons, flight and loyalty cards. The PassBook feature is available on iPhone or iPod touch, but I am wondering will the newest iPad be in relation to it. I have cashed for some gift cards and take a long time to get them in the mail. I need to send them directly into my iPad. So I readlly want to get the new feature to work on the tablet.

It is not working on iPad device since now. You should wait until Apple catch up with new technology. Passbook is only supporting the newest phone with NFC, but the tablet doesn't have an NFC chip.
