How to fix imessage not delivered issue on iPad
If you are trying to send or recive the text messages within iMessage app on your iPad 2, it might show up a red exclamation alert with "message not delivered" error and the status bar just hangs. It means that the app is not working. You could try the following tips to fix the issues.

* From Home Screen, tap on Settings > Wi-Fi, Disable WiFi and then turn it ON.
* Go to Settings > Messages > Receive At > Caller ID, and choose your AppleID email address.
* If you have set up syncing messages on Mac, iPad and iPhone devices, disbale it on your Mac. On your other iOS device, tap on Settings > Messages, and turn off iMessage.
* It may be caused by the network. Go to Settings > General > Reset, and select "Reset Network Settings".
* For security, you need to change your AppleID password.
